A Princess Tale - Bellas Story

Chapter 1

Chapter 1: Bella an Introduction

Bella, a high school senior and the daughter of an oil tycoon, watched her silhouette sift through the tall oak trees lining the family estate. Some days Bella wondered if life could ever be made worthwhile with the absence of her presence or is she the true princess her daddy always says she is.

As the sun starts to dip behind the horizon, Bella grows restless with rage boiling inside her as she realizes that once again she is alone. With her Dad off on who knows what business trip and her Mom god knows where doing god knows what, Bella decides she has had enough of this life. Bolting out of the house in a fury, the housemaid, Ruth, attempts to stop her but Bella refuses with fire in her eyes. "I don't care about my father's stupid rules - I will do whatever I want," she roars with indignant passion and slams the door so hard that it shakes its very frame. She silently declares "No one will tell me what to do" as she stomps away into the night.

Once outside, Bella sat down on the edge of the marble fountain that adorned the center of their drive. Its cherubic statues stood as silent guardians to her sorrow. She closed her eyes and inhaled deeply, wishing for a different life -- with a mom and dad who were present. But it was no use; her dad was always off on business trips to some distant place in the world, spending more time overseas than at home. Meanwhile, her mom was left desperate for attention, so she sought out any man who would take notice of her. "Such a fucking whore," Bella thought as she pictured her mom's indiscretions. And yet, in spite of these circumstances, Bella remained stoically chaste.

At 18 years old, Bella had never been kissed and still remained a virgin. No one wanted to be her friend, as she was so mean—the only individuals who stayed by her side were those hoping for a piece of her seemingly endless wallet. Despite this, Bella was incredibly attractive, making it all the more unlikely that she had yet to experience any form of romantic encounter.

Bella had a perfectly sculpted, wafer-thin body that one could look at for hours. Her sky blue eyes pierced right through you, like a laser ray. Her reddish-pink lips were heart-shaped and teeth behind them were snow white and straight with the curve of her pouty smile. Her sunburst hair flowed down her back to the slope of her shoulder blades with gentle waves in the light breeze. She was simply a beautiful sculpture commissioned by God himself, but there was more to Bella than just her perfect appearance. When softness filled her voice, she was like a lullaby and you wanted to hear more about her. But when anger and aggression took hold of her, she became loud and shrill; even the flowers would cringe away from this girl. And yet, with her flawless features, one can only imagine what she would look like if she ever smiled...

The sun started its final descent behind the hills to the west of the mansion and Bella noticed the sky was changing color as twilight began. Suddenly, Bella felt a strong urge to find solace from the storm in her mind, and her heart started beating wildly. The sky shimmered under the full moon as Bella reached the edge of the haunted forest. The moon illuminated the thicket with its mystical light and Bella found herself transfixed. Without even realizing it, she stepped forward into the shadows of the trees. She took a deep breath and continued farther into the woods, all the while wondering why she was there. Trees and shrubs were still, as if they were holding their breath so as not to interfere with something lurking.

As her sanity began to waver, she thought she heard a faint voice calling for her to come closer. It was in Bella's head to flee. After breaking through the protective vines, Bella discovered that the moon's light was completely obscured by the forest's thick canopy. As she walked, a branch broke beneath her. The forest's cries resonated to her like a symphonic harmony. Bella halted, her heart pounding so loudly that she could no longer hear anything else. her heart was lying to her and leading her further into the woods. Bella turned to run away as she spotted the man's figure up ahead and concluded she wanted to live. A voice that was both soothing and hypnotic said, "come here." Bella was instantly drawn to the source of the sound and turned to face the mysterious stranger. She felt compelled to comply, so she said, "Yes, sir," and started walking toward the source of the voice.

Bella's initial shock at the sight of the stranger who stood before her quickly gave way to mild curiosity. She couldn't make out his face against his long white robe until he walked into the moonlight. His hair and hood blended in with the darkness of his skin. Bella saw the man's sparkling eyes as he came closer to her. She recoiled when he leaned in to touch her shoulder and gently brush his warm breath across her cheek. Bella felt dizzy as she stood there in a trance-like state. She felt electricity as his hands moved all the way down to her hips. Bella was no longer scared or worried; instead, she felt protected and loved. She couldn't take her eyes off the man who seemed to find meaning in her existence just by being in his presence. Bella struggled to stay awake, but she was already beginning to nod off, unaware that she was in a trance and that this man was attempting to steal her own soul. He picked her up and brought her into his castle. His long black robe dragged over the marble floor, and Bella could feel the weight of it. Her eyes closed and her head drooped to one side as she fell back asleep.

As soon as she opened her eyes, Bella knew she was not in the same place she was before. She was in a room with a large bed and candles lit all around her. There were red and black curtains hanging around the bed that made her feel like she was in a medieval dungeon. Bella struggled to sit up, her body aching all over. She looked around and spotted the door as she ran over to it, and was surprised to find it unlocked. The room was small and simple with nothing in it except for a small window that allowed the moonlight to pour into the room. Bella heard a faint sound coming from the other side of the door, so she cautiously walked toward it. She opened the door curious who this man was as well as escaping his presence. She saw the man's back was facing her. He was talking to himself but she couldn't quite make out what he was saying.

"You're mine now." He was whispering in a gruff voice, his eyes gleaming with a demonic light. Bella screamed and began to run to the window, only to discover that she was trapped. He swiftly turned around and Bella froze. Her eyes locked on the man before her, her face drained of all color. She stumbled back and fell on her bottom, her legs becoming paralyzed. The man removed the hood that covered his head and she could see all of his features. He had the most intense and penetrating eyes she had ever seen, his skin was a deep chocolate brown, and his hair was long and braided in several places. He was tall and muscular with long, sharp nails that were the color of blood. My name is Syran, but you will simply call me sir.
